FAQs

1. What is the Dao Dance Festival?
The Dao Dance Festival is a week full of movement, music, and community – set in beautiful nature, right by a lake. It combines ancient Daoist training methods with modern forms of expression and creates space for connection, ease, and deep experience.

2. Do I need any prior experience?
No – everyone is welcome! Whether you're completely new or have many years of practice, the workshops are open to all levels. You choose what you want to explore or deepen.

3. What does a typical day look like?
Between 9:00 and 19:00, various workshops and trainings take place at different intensity levels. You are free to create your own schedule – entirely at your own rhythm.

4. What does the festival offer besides training and music?
A wide range of special activities complements the program: herbal walks, tea ceremonies, seminars, massages, and treatments for relaxation. You can also just listen, be still, go for a walk – everything is welcome, nothing is required.

5. What happens in the evenings?
In the evening, the venue transforms into a soundscape: during the week with calm music, live instruments, and a campfire atmosphere; on the weekend with dancing, DJs, and electronic beats – ecstatic, playful, and always heartfelt.

6. Until what time does the music play?
On Friday and Saturday night, music continues until 2:00 a.m. On all other days, it ends at 10:00 p.m. – because training resumes the next morning. This leaves enough time for rest, sleep, stargazing, or quiet connection.

7. What kinds of movement are offered?
The foundation consists of Kung Fu, Taijiquan (Tai Chi), and Qi Gong – complemented by yoga, contact improvisation, partner kickboxing exercises, and more. The range is broad, allowing you to discover something new or deepen what you already know.

8. When can I arrive and depart?
The camping area opens on Monday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. Arrival is possible from that time. The grounds close on Monday, August 4, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.

9. Where does the festival take place?
At a swimming lake in Preddöhl, in the Prignitz region – surrounded by forest, water, and wide open skies. About 120 km from Berlin and 180 km from Hamburg. A place to breathe deeply, move freely, and arrive fully.

10. How is accommodation organized?

13. Are all activities included in the ticket price?
