Terms and Conditions (GTC)

I. Organizer and Scope

  1. The Dao Dance Festival is organized by Wu Shu Men e.V., Torstraße 40, 10119 Berlin, hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer.”

  2. The Dao Dance Festival (hereinafter “Event”) takes place on a designated site in the Prignitz district (Germany). The festival grounds include both the main event area and associated parking areas (collectively referred to as the "Festival Grounds").

  3. These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all legal relationships between the Organizer and the respective participant – both in the case of ticket purchase and attendance.

  4. By purchasing a ticket, each participant acknowledges these GTC and all resulting rights and obligations as legally binding.

II. General Information

  1. Dao Dance Festival 2025 is limited to a maximum of 400 participants.

  2. Tickets are available exclusively through our website – even during the event. Orders can be placed as long as tickets are in stock. Once the ticket quota is sold out, the ordering function will be deactivated automatically.

  3. Tickets are personalized but can be transferred upon request.

  4. Children and adolescents under the age of 18 may only participate when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or a person authorized in writing by them (§ 1 Sec. 1 No. 4 Youth Protection Act). Authorized persons must carry written proof and a copy of the guardian’s ID.

  5. Day tickets are valid until 12:00 p.m. the following day.

  6. By attending the festival, each participant agrees to the production of photo and audio recordings for documentation and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be recorded, please speak directly with our photo or video team – your request will be respected.

  7. The Organizer exercises the domiciliary rights and may delegate them.

III. Conclusion of Contract

  1. By purchasing a ticket for the Dao Dance Festival, a contractual relationship is established solely between the buyer (hereinafter “participant” or “visitor”) and the Organizer.

  2. By completing the purchase and confirming the GTC, the participant submits a binding offer. The contract becomes effective when the personalized ticket is sent via email.

  3. There is no right of withdrawal or return after the contract is concluded.

  4. After purchase, the participant receives a confirmation email including payment information.

  5. Payment should be made within ten days of receiving the confirmation email.

  6. If ticket delivery does not occur within three weeks, the participant may set a one-week grace period. If the ticket is still not delivered, the participant may withdraw from the contract in writing.

  7. All tickets include a QR code. Entry is granted once per QR code. The code must be stored securely and serves as the official admission credential.

  8. These GTC also apply to persons for whom tickets are purchased on their behalf.

  9. Tickets can only be purchased via the festival website. There will be no ticket sales at the venue.

IV. Event Implementation

  1. The festival generally takes place regardless of weather conditions. In exceptional cases (e.g., force majeure or official orders), it may be interrupted or canceled. In such cases, no refund is granted.

  2. If the festival is canceled before it begins without a rescheduled date, the ticket price can be reclaimed within ten days after the originally scheduled event period by emailing ticket@dao-dance.de.

  3. Travel and parking are at the participant’s own risk. Traffic regulations (StVO) apply in all parking areas.

  4. Participants must treat the venue and all its facilities with care. Any damage caused by participants or their companions must be reported immediately and compensated.

  5. Natural conditions such as falling fruit, insects, animals, or branches may cause disruptions. The Organizer is not liable for such occurrences.

  6. The Organizer is not liable for lost or damaged items.

  7. Parking in designated areas is at one’s own risk.

  8. The Organizer has no influence on artistic content and reserves the right to modify the program.

  9. Program changes do not justify a refund.

  10. Access to certain areas may be restricted due to capacity limits.

  11. Private photography is allowed – professional equipment is not permitted.

V. Safety & Code of Conduct

  1. All participants must follow the instructions of security personnel. Failure to do so may result in immediate removal from the premises.

  2. Security checks, including body and bag searches, may be carried out at the entrance.

  3. The Organizer reserves the right to deny entry for important reasons – including carrying prohibited items, being visibly intoxicated, or exhibiting discriminatory or aggressive behavior. In such cases, tickets or wristbands lose their validity and no refund will be given.

  4. The following items are not permitted on the festival grounds: weapons (except training weapons for sports), torches, pyrotechnics, dry ice, sparklers, sky lanterns, vuvuzelas, megaphones, commercial or political materials (flags, banners, flyers, etc.), and any dangerous items.

  5. A central campfire is provided; otherwise, open fires are not allowed on the festival grounds.

  6. Animals are not permitted.

  7. Climbing on stages, trusses, speakers, or tents is not allowed.

  8. Entry into restricted or non-public areas such as technical zones, stages, or backstage is prohibited.

  9. Violence, aggressive or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and leads to immediate expulsion. Tickets and wristbands become invalid.

  10. Please use the toilets. Urinating outside designated sanitary facilities is not allowed.

  11. For security reasons, some areas may be under video surveillance.

  12. Serious violations may result in a ban from the festival grounds. Criminal acts will be reported to the police.

  13. Sound levels during performances may exceed 95 dB. Hearing protection is recommended for adults and mandatory for children.

  14. Trash must be disposed of in designated containers.

VI. Liability

  1. Attending the event is at the participant’s own risk.

  2. Participants are responsible for their own accident and liability insurance. The Organizer is only liable within the scope of legal provisions.

  3. If the event is canceled due to force majeure or official orders, no compensation claims can be made.

VII. Final Provisions

  1. If any provision of these GTC is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

  2. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a legally permissible regulation that most closely reflects the original intent.
